PeopleSoft and Mercury Interactive Expand Alliance to Further Benefit Customers
Alliance to Help Customers Accelerate Implementation and Upgrades of PeopleSoft Applications
PLEASANTON, Calif. and SUNNYVALE, Calif., Aug. 21 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- PeopleSoft, Inc. (Nasdaq: PSFT - News) and Mercury Interactive Corp. (Nasdaq: MERQ - News) today announced they have expanded their alliance to further help customers accelerate the implementation and upgrades of PeopleSoft applications. PeopleSoft is preparing to provide customers with a Starter Test Kit while Mercury Interactive will offer PeopleSoft customers an Upgrade Package for PeopleSoft applications. In addition, PeopleSoft's engineering and research and development groups will initiate a global roll-out of Mercury Interactive's enterprise testing software for performance and functionality testing and test management during development of PeopleSoft applications.
The Starter Test Kit, based on Mercury Interactive's technology, is expected to include test plans and test scripts developed by PeopleSoft and designed to help customers measure, optimize, and manage the performance of their PeopleSoft applications within the context of their in-house infrastructure. The Upgrade Package for PeopleSoft, offered by Mercury Interactive, consists of Mercury Interactive's specialized consulting services and automated performance testing, functional and regression testing, and test management software. Used with the Starter Test Kit, the Upgrade Package for PeopleSoft will enable customers to validate the installation of their PeopleSoft applications and accelerate their deployment cycle by automating the testing process. By detecting operating system, database, installation, and application performance issues prior to deployment, customers will have the opportunity to test whether their applications will meet business requirements.
