Then we face a choice between something every bit as bad as Saddam or sending in troops to defend our puppet against a popular insurrection. My own expectation is that it will be one damn thing after another. No peace, no end to it, no final resolution. Too many mutually exclusive situations knocking up against each other without any mutually acceptable solution. My older son is going to start studying Arabic. We expect that will be something that will come in handy for the rest of his life.
