If the tactic of death penalty is imposed as a warning to the others it obviously doesn't work. Dead person won't tell us a word how he suffer. Statistics regarding crime numbers are much in favour for the countries who don't have this kind of penalty. Countries who have this kind of penalty are equally barbaric. Person who breakes the law of the land is a criminal. Criminals happen by an accident like anything else on planet Earth. Even if your parents told us we were "planned", first they met and fall in love by an accident. You could be as well born A.Hitler, not make his mistakes and right now the whole world would be forced to salute your past ego, speaking german. Just imagine how boring the news would be without the crime. Propably the most noble citizens would be asking each other what to do in this boring world and they would create the criminal code out of the thin air. Did you ever hear - "I would never do such a THING", - well, OJ propably thought the same way until he done it. Many of us would be surprised what we are really capable of given proper rationale. I'm fully in favour af canned pet food with the picture of the child molester or killer if it would work. IMO the only way to stop these kinds of crime is to study these individuals not killing them. Question would remain how the law society would react if the crime was about to cease? I think they would turn themselves into criminals just to prove us wrong. marek
