GB, The chipmaker also has produced convincing evidence to substantiate that SysMark 2002 is broken. In fact, the data suggests a profoundly skewed workload which supports our longstanding contention that BAPCo has been essentially producing Intel marketing tools. We will cover these issues in more detail in an upcoming article. I am looking forward to that article. I am curious about AMD's comments on Sysmark, and I hope Van Smith will post some of them. Here is a link to a page of Toms tests using Sysmark on an overclocked P4. It reports 92% increase in performance going from 2200 MHz NW to 3 GHz NW, which is only a 36% increase in clockspeed: tomshardware.com Even if all the clocks in the system increased by 36%, and the hard disk span 36% faster, its head moved 36% faster, it is impossible to get a 92% higher rating, which makes one wonder what Sysmark is really doing.
