First, I would assume that the total number of cell phone subscribers in Asia in 3.5 years will be 1.2B (0.6B in China, 0.1B in Japan, 0.3B in India, 0.2B elsewhere). Certainly the growth rates are pretty phenominal in China (2-3% per month in China GPS, 25-30% per month in China CDMA).

Dont you believe that some of these markets are going to saturate at some point? The Cellular Association of India just released a forecast for subscriber growth and they are targeting 120 million subs by 2008.

The initial estimates of saturation at 200 million subscribers in China look like they are going to prove low....but I'm not sure if 600 million is achievable either.

Anyone know the median income in China?

Certainly hope your projections are correct....$5-6 per share sounds pretty good to me <g>.
