>>The recommendations are as follows: * Canada's six big banks should be permitted to merge with one another.

Less competition = Less satisfied consumers

>>O'Neill said that the six big banks in Canada faced increasing competition both outside Canada and domestically and that these changes were necessary to ensure that the banks remained strong.

The sky is falling, the sky is falling!....This translates
into the "We Want Bigger and Bigger Profits", as if the
banks are expected to go bankrupt.....NOT!

>>"Current restrictions on the marketing of insurance products by banks put consumers at a disadvantage," O'Neill said. "Studies on entries of banks into the marketing of insurance in other countries suggests the cost of insurance products for consumers have been reduced."

This is all Mulrooney's doing....He changed the law to allow
banks to buy Trust Companies.....Now we have service charges
just to take your own money out of the bank....

Now the banks want it all, just unleash them so that they
can have monopolies in every aspect of Canadian Society.

When are we, as CANADIANS, going to band together and stop
this outrage....Are the people in this Country a bunch of Sheep???????????
