The Dow is Getting Blown Away Today

NEW YORK (Reuter) - The Dow Jones industrial average lost nearly 100 points in late-morning trading Friday on a broad selloff in technology stocks.

At 11:15 a.m. EDT the Dow index was down 98.72 points at 7,922.05. The Nasdaq was off 22.73 points at 1546.12.

Microsoft's stock lost $9 to $140.50 on Nasdaq, where it was the second most-heavily traded issue.

Intel Corp., the most actively traded Nasdaq stock, gave up $2.56 to $85.25 and Sun Microsystems Inc., the third most active, dropped $2.25 to $43.31.

Interesting view re DOW dropping fast, Rich, how are you planning to play that? I heard they have a mutual fund that buys the DOW, wonder if you can short mutual funds <gr>.
Wonder if gold will get a lift from all these currencies' instability?
