Mr. X has been saying those sorts of things about Latin America. I keep telling him the idea of servants and a villa totally pales in comparison to the loss of our wonderful protections in this country, and our relative safety. I'd rather wash my own clothes and live in a smaller house in the US, thank you very much. I would like to see Maine someday. It looks like it might be very beautiful. I've seen all the Western states, and love them all for different reasons, though I prefer the wide expanses to the big cities. Not that I don't like cities, there is beauty everywhere, but rolling open country, or rugged mountains, or coastal vistas, really work for me.
