Gopher, All part of the master plan, a large number of buyers are so clueless that they buy the low priced box and then get royally screwed on memory as they are as dumb as rabbits. Others buy spot ram and probably dell tries to screw with their warranty if they do that. Does anyone know if dell has a warranty voiding policy if you use uncertified memory from back alley vendors(as they characterize third party memory)?
I know Kingstone goes to great lengths to say their stuff does not void warranty, but they are almost as bad as dell on proces.
