I haven't checked recent E-machines but they have probably done away with screws also. One of the first things taught in Design for Manufacturability (and this was at least 20 years ago) is to minimize all parts and fasteners. I was reacting to Kirk or someone who was complaining that he couldn't open anything but a Dell.
