I missed the last episode, the one in which her performance wasn't supposed to have been good; and I was surprised to see her go before Justin.

But my view of Tamyra is very mixed. She looks the part, moves well, and has a very strong voice, and doesn't flat or sharp (any more than anyone else), and has everything else. Except for this, and I know you don't agree...

Her voice is like steel, to me. It is actively unpleasant to listen to, to me. Piercing. Which is why the comparison to Celine Dion and Whitney Houston, whose voices are beautiful, I found mysterious.

I reacted to the elimination of Christina Christian the way you did to the elimination of Tamyra. I still wonder what the people didn't like about her. I thought she was a wonderful singer. So beautiful, too.

But Kelly is the best singer.

I heard Howard Stern refer to Kelly as "the ugly one" on the radio this morning. How odd that is to me. She's very pleasant to look at, isn't she? Not gorgeous like Nikki and Christina, and to a lesser degree Tamyra, but sweet and pretty. To me.
