<<'cause the war against deflation has been fought and won>>

dood, you are much 'too early' in making this call. bond yields are UP?? the ten-year is at 4.3, which is lower than where it started this MONTH. they are up from panic lows, that is all.

i would further note that the last 'panic' low on the 10-year was on 01 November, when it hit 4.10 intra-day and closed at 4.22. on 14 November, it closed at 4.51 and on 26 November it was at 5.00. i'm pretty sure i remember global deflation taking that game.

i'm betting that global deflation is going to take game 2 of this double-header. the ten-year is going to 3.0-3.2, likely by spring 2003.

and gold will go up anyway. even though it sucks <g>

Cheers
