Mr. X often watches plumes via satellite and moans dire warnings from the living room. It is like living with the voice of doom. He has lots of other little tidbits to offer as well- don't get him started on near Earth objects, or those weird occasional flashes from super something stars, that light up the heavens like flashlights and kill everything in their beams. He also likes to talk about 100, and 500 year floods, people who build their homes in flood plains, people who build their homes on slide zones, people who build their homes on Earthqauke faults, how he is sure such and such place has a deep undiscovered fault based on the view of the land from the air....etc Scary guy, Mr. X.
