How do we protect vulnerable women in countries like Nigeria where a radical interpretation of Shariah is being enforced? Seems a hopeless task... you figure, the Palestinians with their well financed UN propaganda machine without equal in the world can't get "protection", does anyone in their right mind dream of real progress being made on such issues as women's rights ? Not to mention the religious right ayatollahs right here in the USA with what seems some control over the purse strings on aid programs for women in the world. (flack over contraception, or abortion, or whatever the last footdragging excuse was about unblocking funds...)
