As i look at the market as it rises gold rises and today neither is rising so i think in simple terms no one can afford gold or some such uncomplicated theory. As around me gossip still persists that business is consolidating not expanding and houses continue to be the only thing that are going up in value. Could this be that people are withdrawing funds taking a ten percent penalty thinking the market has penalized them enough that the 10 percent factor is negligible in comparison.

I try to tell myself that what i am hearing I should not believe as my exposure is not to the millions but just a few people so there of the market should go up.

Then Alan I look at what you have posted here and it is figures that have gone amuck and what I hear becomes much more close to truth than not.

Perhaps what I see in housing is many people thinking well if business continues to slow it is not possible to foreclose on thousands of houses there of, many could be thinking might as well take that chance. This could be a means of limiting risk if the economy comes back up housing will increase in value if it doesn't could be that there is no value in many foreclosures and a token sum payment will be accepted in lieu of none.

Seeing as this post has such an enormous amount of non information. I give the podium to the witch doctor in SA who in the process of throwing stones on the ground has hit his big toe. There of in that toe hold is the key to the direction of gold as we go limping along VBG.
