By "most" forestors? I don't think so. "Most" forestors believe in forestry management, which includes both controlled burns and selective cutting. I don't know how southern foresters think......do you have foresters, or are they forest farmers? In the national parks here in the West, the policy is to let lightning strike fires burn themselves out. Only when such fires threaten human habitation is something done about it.
