Seeing this display of self righteous indignation, you've got to wonder how the 'Droids would have reacted, if it had been Intel that came out with the Modelhurtz scheme?

Here you have a company that is purposefully mimicking false MHz rating to deceive the public, then claiming injury based on one set of benchmarks? Stones and glass houses, IMHO.

As I said before this whole thing came up, if the industry really wants to serve the consumer, they should set up an independent agency to rate system performance. A single component's performance is irrelevant to the end user.

It won't happen, the pissing match between Intel and AMD (and their respective supporters) will continue. Too much gross margin in the microprocessor.

From a consumers perspective, the OEM's need to take back the industry.
