Arun, imagine Segways in Bangalore instead of two-stroke petrol engines! Now that would be great. Hordes of people could move quickly and cleanly around. An enterprising Indian company could agree a royalty fee for an Indian version and start production in India. That would drive economies of scale and get the price down to really low. India is adopting CDMA and prices are going to be very low. The car culture is too big and expensive. Also, people are more comfy in human-scale surroundings rather than on freeways and in huge tall buildings. Enabling effective movement with human-scale physical dimensions is important and Segway can do that. The USA's main foreign policy remains economic integration with the rest of the world with great technological developments driving that economic development and integration. Segway and cdma2000 will make crowded cities in Asia much more functional. Mqurice
