You never did explain why REFR never had Asensio arrested for that.

We also know that Asensio went to REFR on March 15, 2001 and said that he wanted them to sell him shares for a "friend" who shorted and could not cover on the open market. He implied that their not consenting might cause them a problem.

I mean, it's practically as if they WANT people to be skeptical of their claims.

And like the scenario indicates, their plan was not a well thought out one.

Or the scenario isn't well thought out, and the shorts' motivations and MO badly misinterpreted. But of course that would mean you might have made a mistake, and that's just not possible, right?
