from retail sales data - high school kids are going back to school in old clothes and new cars. people are very smart- they take money at 0%. congress will blame the lenders. the lenders buy congress, but the borrowers have more votes. a smart car company might build the free money into the cost of the car. but, they have to pay wages and benefits - regardless of whether they build the cars. didn't the railroads get hurt by featherbedding.
