They would no doubt be able to plead in defence that they were forced to offer W-CDMA as the operators bosses, the EU were operating a trade barrier against the US.

But did the operator bosses and EU force Nortel & Co to sign the deals too, why didn´t they force Nokia to sign those deals then? ,-D
