<<They hate that you are monopolizing all the nonrenewable resources>>

2/3's of the planet want to have the lifestyle we have achieved in the West, especially the USA. Prosperity and energy use go hand in hand, and we have been becoming more efficient with our use of energy every year.

Was the West's ability to establish its strength and wealth supported with lower cost fuel before the supply / demand balance shifted in the 1970's? No doubt.

But I view this as a severe crutch today as the USA risks its human and financial assets to keep oil flowing for the entire planet. Also we have not learned that we could live more prosperous live with more efficient vehicles.

We will learn to become more efficient with fuel though. We are on the cusp of very significant increases in demand for petroleum products. With hundreds of millions of people obtaining their first energy consuming products, the product will be rationed by price.
