I believe that DO bought out MRL, both deep water drillers. When oil was selling at around $10/bbl, that was the nobrainer time to buy. Now what to buy and when? For myself, I'm closely watching some techs and biotechs. Trouble is, some money managers that I know are saying that we could be in another 3 year slump. Based on that, it might be best to buy companies with the best balance sheets. But I guess that would always be the case. Great thread, folks!
