then the law of the land is capital punishment in at least 38 states and on a federal level. You want to change the law, you certainly have a vote to try and do so. So then all you can say is that jurors are following the law, taking dispassionate control of the trial and punishment of the criminal thus avoiding eye for eye reprisals.
