Re:"AMD will be outsourcing their cheap chips." All of AMD's chips are cheap. That is how they lost $300 million last quarter. Which of these el cheapos do you think that AMD will outsource? Note that the 90 nanometer process will be a joint development with UMC and will appear at a new fab built by UMC, not a fab built by AMD. So state of the art AMD products in the future will be made by a UMC foundry.
