It's hard to say, but I'd guess there's a good chance Engel was booted from SI for talking back to the Admins when they said cool it on the ethnic slurs. Note the replies to Paul's penultimate post, Message 17228815 ; somehow, I doubt that Paul responded to Jeff with a conciliatory PM. So, he went to "Monica" for a while, I don't know what happened there. I think Paul was a good representative of the Intel mentality, I'd be perfectly happy if he was still leading the pack here. Elmer and Windsock have sort of been raising the rant factor lately, but it's really not the same.
