What's most interesting about this lawsuit against the Saudis is that it will provide a public forum for information related to Saudi complicity with Bin Laden that is not currently being emphasized. And it will be presented in such a manner as to persuade not only a jury, but the public, by the preponderance of the evidence. There's a strong case to be made that the Saudis paid "protection money" to Bin Laden. This has been a story that has been reported for years before 9/11. And we know the Wahhabis have been funding the Madrassa, where tomorrows "martyrs" are indoctrinated into Jihadist ideology. I was catching some talk radio yesterday and heard the topic of how psychiatry has played a role in employing behavioral modification and brain washing techniques to recruit and indoctrinate followers. I found the program of interest, especially when tying it back to previous totalitarian regimes where propaganda and brain-washing were heavily employed to create a new sense of interpretation for old ideas. One example of this would be how Nazis used Nordic Runes and Germanic occultism to motivate and instill a uniqueness and mission-orientation amongst their followers. intelinet.org I was able to find a link to something similar to this program on psychiatric origins of Islamic extremism. However, it seems to be associated with the Church of Scientology who obviously have their own "unique" agenda which I'm personally quite suspicious of. But the case they are making seems to bear more than a kernel of truth even if their analysis may be biased. So with that caveat, I'll offer this link: freedommag.org If anything, it makes for interesting reading and a different perspective on the psychological logistics involved in creating adherence to an extremist belief system, including Islamic versions of "Tony Robbins" motivational tours..
