Instead of determining if the market is going bullish/bearish, you can
take advantage of this excursions with an investment system called
AIM--Automatic Investment Management. When the price goes up
you sell and when it goes down you buy and so on. The methodology
is described in
aim-users.com
There is a free excel program(.xls) and some commercial programs.
For a long time AIM has a discussion board at
Subject 12596
but most have since moved to
investorshub.com
A recent derivative of AIM called X_dev is at
investorshub.com
As for me, mine is closer to but predates(1999) X_dev but in portfolio format using
excel and ProTA.
I read that a MacOSX version of ProTA is in the works--don't know when it will be released.
