Thank you, Solon. I left out a part of the book:

King always populates his books with memorable characters, and "The Moderation" is no exception. My favorite here is Lavinia, the town matriarch. She lives in a mansion on the highest hill in town, and is rarely seen in the village. The regulars call her "the muse on the hill." Possessed of ancient secrets and powers, Lavinia makes her wishes known to the Town Counselor by periodically sending down exhortations and commands ... these are enclosed in scarlet envelopes and written in verse! (In the film version now under negotiation, it is reported that Meryl Streep has agreed to play the part).

What do you think? As you say, my review of this imaginary book is a work in progress.

I appreciate your comments.
