check out the Wired article on Gilder from a few months back. i hadn't realized Gilder went broke just like many of his subscribers. how 'bout that--going from market-moving guru with $20million cash flow just from his GTR subscriptions, to "thin" in just a cupla years. apparently he bought out his publishing partners in March 2000--just the wrong moment. and now he's got a lien on his house (as of the time of the article). seems he blew his wad on Global Crossing. i almost felt sorry for Gilder after reading that story. at least the guy has some integrity, unlike many of the scam artists who lost so much for others even as they enriched themselves during the bubble.

of course, while i almost feel sorry for him, i certainly don't listen to his advice.
