Level 3 Communications (LVLT: news, chart, profile) said after Friday's bell that it gained changes in its credit facility allowing more flexibility to take advantage of opportunities in its data transmission sector. Among the changes in covenants, Level 3 can pursue acquisitions for cash. The fiber-optic network company got a big boost last month when Warren Buffett and two other investors injected $500 million of capital.
