There hasn't been a doubt in my mind for a long time that mystery ILEC #2 was VZ. The question remains, how large are the initial deployments and what is the schedule? The good news is that as the sales orders materialize, NHC moves from being a speculative play towards an execution play. I am sure that there are investors on the sidelines waiting to see a little more concrete before they jump in. Once VZ and BLS start implementing NHC's product, it seems to me that they quickly become the de facto standard for this space and could logically become an acquisition target. One thing I will say for sure...it won't be boring.

I just checked the TSE site and looks like Goldman is standing pat today, at least for the last ten trades. I wouldn't expect anything else to happen until after Labor Day, but we shall see. They say that September is usually the worst month for the market...but there is always an exception...
