"Should it be illegal?" Now on this separate issue. Yes it should be illegal. It is an act of treason. The flag is a symbol of our country. It represents the constitution on which we stand. If you think the entities of our government are violating American principle then protest against the entity. If you protest against what America stands for, you are an enemy of the state.
