US oil giant ExxonMobil (NYSE: XOM) has filed a "countersuit" against Chile's state minerals company Enami in the row over the former's Disputada de Las Condes copper mining subsidiary, a Disputada official confirmed.........

Last year Disputada produced 252,000t of copper from its two open pit mines, Los Bronces and El Soldado, both in central Chile. The company also has the Chagres smelter, and is in the process of boosting Los Bronces' output by 60,000t/y to 230,000t/y.
