If Carly/Michael have any hidden UPsides in their bag-of-performance HPQ should sky-UP $1-2.

What hidden nonsense can they have?

1- For the next few years they will continue to lose market share to Dell and make no money in PCs.
2- They will continue to lose share to IBM and Sun in Unix servers.
3- They will continue to lose share to Dell in low end Intel-based servers.
4- They will be the ones that are commoditizing storage, and although it will likely remain a good business for them, the only affect of their existance in this market will be to ruin it for EMC and IBM
5- Printers will be a good profitable business, but only 30% of revenue instead of the former 55% of revenue.

You think management saying we've already fired 5,000 people more than originally planned for this time period is going to change any of those things?

Any pop is a great selling opportunity.
