I am unable to develop what could rightfully be called "thoughts" on this topic. But I can tell you that I do not understand why the end user scenario would result in so many more CDMA 1x users than the China play, given that the China play scenario in slide 9 seems to be characterized by a preponderance of CDMA. So why would CDMA overtake GPRS only under an end user scenario?

More generally, is it legitimate to draw conclusions from these three scenarios to technology market shares? What in the history of wireless supports such conclusions? And when one cannot even precisely estimate handset sales one quarter out, how can one make these kinds of estimates for 2005?

I apologize for this aggressive critique of what probably are well thought through scenarios by an expert.
