Well said on the first point. Interesting info on the second. Never would have guessed it was that high, though now that I think about it, both my mom and my mother in law have lived in the same houses for 40+ years and paid off the mortgages years ago. I doubt that's unusual among the AARP-eligible demographic, especially those old enough to remember the depression.
