If Iraq is Cuba, who's supplying it nukes and subsidizing its economy?

Oh yeah, we're buying its oil, so we're subsidizing, among others.

But who's playing the Commie Godfather bearing nukes?

(Btw, I'm somewhat familiar with that crisis. I may have been young- 8 - but was very aware of its disastrous potential, with my Dad and his circle of peers/friends. He was a flight engineer flying reconnaissance missions along the Atlantic seaboard. I can recall the high alert status the base was under, the discussions on Huntley/Brinkley and my Dad reassuring us that we weren't gonna be nuked. Having read subsequent historical accounts since, I recognize how gracious he was to lie so well about how close we came.)
