Loral is paying up quite a bit for the preferred <Loral said the offer was worth $3.96 per preferred share in total, based on Tuesday's closing price of 51 cents for Loral's common shares.> I guess that either this 1) shows management's confidence in the potential of the company or 2) they need to get rid of the pesky preferreds prior to selling the company. Care to venture which it is? I would like to see some insider buying, but given 1) Bernies track record, that might not mean much and 2) If they are dressing the old girl up for a sell, in today's climate, the world would take a dim view of the insiders buying now to sell at a profit in six months.
