Sorry, What I meant was that if the perception is their that their is monthly window dressing events, then although there really is not such an event, the markets makers will play it out drawing in more "retail buyers" (the miss-informed.)

As I highlighted this is the statement I was responding to,
"But, it's puzzling because this is the end of the month so there has to be some window dressing."

I was just merely pointing out why it does not have to happen although if the perception is there,then the market makers will use that perception to their advantage.

My vote is not to trade around perceived "window dressing" unless you are daytrading because they are subject to whipsaw if "real" buying is not there.

Just a thought. Hopefully I didn't dig a deeper hole.
