Agree about the taste comment. Odd how some artists are most famous for their least impressive songs. A few years ago my sister was on a bike trip through Italy with Randy Newman. At every hotel that had a piano, he'd play a bunch of songs. No one had any idea of who he was...until he played "Short People".

And the Redskins sure look better than they did at this time last year. They may not win any more games, but they should at least lose entertainingly. At worst, it may be a reincarnation of the Otto Graham years. If Snider keeps him around next year, I may actually break down and go to a couple games.

So how is WinMX working for you? I never seemed to have much luck downloading songs on that program. I can't think of too many artists you might not be familiar with - I know you've heard Jane Monheit - but if you haven't listened to Stacey Kent, you'd probably like her. And after a week of hosting 6 Swedish houseguests, I've come to like Monica Zetterlund and Lisa Nilsson. The lyrics are incomprehensible, but they both have a nice style. MZ is like a Swedish Nancy Wilson while LN is a nice folk-style singer.
