Your source is your personal opinion based on your personal research. We'll let the board decide whom to believe: the Oxford Encyclopedia or Nutty Tommy's personal research. I heard a similar rebuttal re: the Spanish Inquisition from some right-wing priest on EWTN, the Catholic cable TV channel, a few months ago. I ended up actually laughing at some of his lame arguments. The Catholic Church, and you, would be far better served to admit that, yes, the mother church has some dark episodes in its past, and then move on ... rather than try to rewrite history. It smacks too much of what Emile and others are attempting to do to pretend that the Holocaust never happened.
