Japanese Carrier Selects ERX Edge Router for Metro Ethernet Services and FTTH

[FAC: Apparently, even in Japan the electric power companies are getting into the FTTH game. John C., Petere, which of the Cisco Edge routers would go nose to nose with the ERX in this type of application and setting? TIA.]

Juniper Networks, Inc. (Nasdaq: JNPR)[...] and Chugoku Information System Service Co., Inc. (CIS), today announced the deployment of Juniper Networks ERX Edge Routers in the CIS "MEGA Energia Global Gateway (EGG)" Metro Ethernet network. The ERX router enables CIS, the telecommunication arm of Chugoku Electric Power, to deliver high-speed Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) services to its residential customers throughout the Chugoku region.
