MarketWatch.com Selects 24/7 Real Media's Open AdStream Leading Financial News Source Completes Implementation of One of the Largest Installations for Open AdStream Thursday August 29, 10:15 am ET
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 29, 2002-- 24/7 Real Media, (Nasdaq: TFSM - News), a leader in interactive marketing, today announced that MarketWatch.com Inc., (Nasdaq: MKTW - News), a leading multimedia source of financial news and information, has purchased and implemented Open AdStream(TM) to locally manage online advertising inventory across its flagship CBS MarketWatch Web site.
The deal represents one of the largest for 24/7 Real Media's Open AdStream.
Open AdStream 5.1.2 features the kind of functionality and scalability that a site as large as CBS MarketWatch requires. Exclusive features such as session-style and reach-style campaign serving have helped enable other Open AdStream customers to better monetize their inventory.
The Confidential Cookie(TM) that Open AdStream employs enables sites such as CBS MarketWatch, CondeNet, USA Today, FT.com and others to help leverage innovative means of monetizing their unique audiences.
"Open AdStream's scalability was a very important selling point for us," said MarketWatch.com Executive Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Scot McLernon. "At peak times, when the news from Wall Street drives millions of visitors to our pages, we'll be looking to Open AdStream to help us manage those traffic spikes as well as the ongoing maximization of our advertising inventory."
"It's a tremendous pleasure to work with the people at MarketWatch.com," said Tom Capato, 24/7 Real Media's Senior Vice President of Technology Sales. "They obviously understand how Web media works. Their selection of Open AdStream is a clear validation of our model, which enables sites to protect the privacy of their users and better manage their own inventory - potentially building more revenue streams, while better managing their most important assets." |
