**Cramer Alert** Apparently todays rise in NVLS is an end of month markup! Gee, I would never have guessed that a 15 cent rise(as of 11:49) could even be labeled a markup. This guy is an idiot beyond imagination. Month-End Markup Party Starts Right on Time Thursday August 29, 11:41 am ET By James J. Cramer, Smells like markup to me. That's where the mutual funds come in and buy their biggest positions aggressively to move up their valuations. This whole markup game started because of the intense review the media brings to the party, always looking for hot managers. It used to be a quarterly phenomenon, but as individuals got more vested, the markup business morphed into a month-end affair.
