The IR gives more leverage (more shares for the buck, if they are not selling at a premium to the common shares). Better still, buy the IR of the debentures when it drops a bit.

You're right, it's the FP, not the G&M. I was too exuberant while cutting and pasting the article in the early morning while I was still bleary-eyed.
