Of the 60-plus minority members of Congress, a grand total of three are Republicans.

Proud record of achievement for the GOP.

And that number will shrink to two in November when J.C. Watts steps down "to spend more time with his family."

Yep, the GOP is really making inroads attracting qualified minority candidates to run for office.

The best example of such occurred in Texas a few months ago, when the GOP primary voters ousted a highly qualified state Supreme Court justice (endorsed by GWB and every other Republican who counts in Texas) in favor of some right-wing kook with an Anglo name.

Yep, those GOP voters down your way are really "in the know" when it comes to voting for the best candidate, regardless of ethnicity.

The only ones that are dumber are in Missouri, where a convicted swindler prevailed a month or so ago in the Republican primary for state auditor.
