I hope not but it is a probablility because the US or anyone else for that matter will have much trouble projecting power and influence there. Maybe the Russians? or the Brits? They both have a long history.
US can be world policeman but social worker requires more than we can project unless its post war germany and japan. Same problem exists in africa and Tibet for example. Hopefully in iraq and mideast we will make that committment. Of course that doesnt help the Afghans. mike
