At this point, all of the data offerings are pretty light--a few games here, a bunch of ring tones, some images and perhaps access to email.
Well, not having used a 47kB webviewer produced in java must be a legal defense of ignorance.

Ouch, then one has to understand both C,C++, Java and operating systems, although all are based on binary stuff, some smart and some less smart and efficient.
If one is really old one could of course remember when a lot of things were done with much less than 64kB, but connecting the embedded binary dots might still be difficult for most who have not written a story in assembly, even just a a "Hello world".
Not to forget the micro-coding guys who made all those singing postcards, max of 256 bytes, melody and all, 30 cents including a battery. |
