Funny how we remember what we want. I recall getting to know you during honest to goodness discussions. Perhaps you were a figment...

But on a political thread just bitching at people because they are doing things you don't like isn't going to work. You need a club.

Much of what society is about is trying to establish norms of behavior. We all use various methods, both positive and negative, to create the sort of society that we want. If you appreciate freedom and the marketplace, you recognize that all you get to do is nudge here and poke there and progress is not always straight forward and certainly not immediate. You either believe in participation and evolution, or you believe in clubs. I'm not a clubby sort of person. I'd rather have an imperfect environment than a perfect one achieved by the use of power and clubs. Part of the appeal is trying to tame unruly beasts. <g>
